Bamboo Payment Systems is a cross-border Payments company that enables global merchants to both accept and make Payments throughout Latin America. By offering robust financial solutions, Bamboo helps businesses improve their payment infrastructure, optimize financial operations, and expand into new markets.

Challenge

Bamboo needed a secure, flexible way to collect personal data for Payout and Refund workflows, ensuring a smooth user experience across different merchant needs. In parallel, they sought to strengthen fraud prevention in card payments and expand payment capabilities through new integrations with local payment providers across LATAM.

Solution

We built scalable backend services and customizable forms for secure data collection in Bamboo’s Payout and Refund workflows, with multichannel notifications via Twilio and SendGrid. We also refactored Bamboo’s 3D Secure (3DS) integration with Cybersource’s Payer Authentication to reduce chargebacks, enable broader compatibility, and support future 3DS-as-a-service use cases. Lastly, we integrated new payment processors: Cielo (Brazil) and MODO (Argentina) to expand local payment options.

Result

Our collaboration allowed Bamboo to enhance its core workflows while expanding its reach. The platform now enables secure, scalable data collection, provides better protection against fraud in card payments through 3DS authentication with Cybersource, and supports a broader set of regional processors, positioning Bamboo as a complete and competitive solution in the LATAM payments ecosystem.
