Vangwe | Fintech Software Development

Privacy Policy

We build the software and payment infrastructure that fintechs and merchants run on.

Handling data carefully is part of that job, and this policy explains how we do it on our website and across our services.

Last updated: August 4, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Vangwe collects, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. By using our website or interacting with us, you agree to the practices described here.

A note on client work

This policy covers the personal information we handle as a company, mainly through our website, marketing, sales, and hiring. When we design, build, or scale software and payment infrastructure for a client, that client is the controller of the end-user data in their product, and the handling of that data is governed by our agreement with them, not by this policy.

01

Who we are

Vangwe is a boutique consulting and software development company specialized in fintech and payments, headquartered in Montevideo, Uruguay, with a distributed team and presence in London, San Francisco, and New York. For the purposes of this policy, Vangwe is the data controller responsible for the personal information described here.

If you have any question about this policy or how we handle your information, you can reach us at hello@vangwe.com.

02

Scope of this policy

This policy applies to personal information we collect when you visit vangwe.com, contact us, subscribe to our updates, apply for a role, or otherwise engage with us in a business context. It does not apply to third-party websites we link to, or to data we process on behalf of a client as part of a service engagement, which is covered by the relevant client contract.

03

  • The content of your messages, including anything you choose to share about your project or inquiry.
  • Recruiting information, such as your CV, work history, and any details you include when you apply for a position.

  • Respond to your inquiries and communicate with you about a potential or existing engagement.

We do not sell your personal information.

06

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to run the site, remember your preferences, and understand how the site performs. We group them into four categories:

  • Strictly necessary, required for the site to work.
  • Analytics, which help us measure traffic and improve the experience, using tools such as Google Analytics.
  • Functional, which remember choices you make.
  • Advertising, which may be used to measure the reach of our campaigns.

Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies. You can also control cookies through your browser settings.

07

How we share your information

We share personal information only when there is a clear reason to, and with appropriate safeguards in place. That can include:

  • Service providers, such as website hosting, analytics, email, scheduling, and customer-relationship tools, who process data on our instructions.
  • Professional advisors, such as legal, accounting, and security partners, where needed.
  • Authorities or other parties, where we are legally required to, or to protect our rights, safety, and property.
  • In a business transfer, such as a merger or acquisition, in which case we will keep your information protected under this policy.
08

Marketing communications

If we send you marketing, you can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us at hello@vangwe.com. Even if you opt out of marketing, we may still send you necessary messages about an active engagement.

09

We operate globally, so your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including Uruguay, the United States, and countries in Europe.
