Challenge
Building Orbita meant developing a custom ticketing and payment platform capable of reducing high commission fees from traditional providers. The challenge was building a scalable system that could handle peak traffic before events and ensure smooth QR code validation at entry to offer a seamless experience for both organizers and attendees.
Solution
We followed a phased approach, starting with an MVP where event organizers could upload tickets and send QR codes via email. We then added Mercado Pago and d.local integrations for purchases, improved the back-office for event management, and optimized infrastructure to ensure scalability and smooth QR scanning.


Result
Orbita has proven to be highly effective for event organizers in Uruguay. One large-scale organizer saved over $12,000 USD in ticketing fees across three events, processing over $70,000 USD. In just two years, Orbita has processed more than $200,000 USD in ticket sales, demonstrating its scalability, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
